If you always look at your feet and
you feel that you have been neglected, don’t worry there are easy home remedies
for cracked heels that are sure to help you.
The way and manner we keep our face
and hair well nourished, that is the same way we also need to keep our feet
nourished and moisturized. A pedicure at least twice a month is a must, most especially
if you always wear open sandals and chap pals. Dead skins build up and dryness can
lead to cracked heels and it is very important to work on them when the skin
starts feeling slightly hardened.
Cracked heels home remedy
1.
Having Soft Heels: Everybody wants to have
smooth and soft heels. The good news is that you only need a handful of
ingredients from your kitchen to have this perfect smooth heel. You can make
this wonderful concoction yourself and then soak your feet in it and see the
results for yourself. For effective results make sure you repeat the process
daily. You will need the following:

You will need 1 tub of warm soapy
water

You will need 100 ml of seed oil
-
You will need a handful of marbles
-
You will need 500 ml of full fat milk
-
You will need a handful of rose
petals
-
You will need a handful of fresh margosa/neem
leaves

You will need 5 drops of geranium oil
-
You need will 5 drops of sandalwood
oil

You will need 2 tsp of wheat germ oil
You need to mix everything together
and then soak your feet in it for about twenty minutes and pat dry. You can use
a pumice stone to dislodge dead skin on the heels.

Using sea salt and oatmeal scrub: You
can easily make the following scrub and use it daily while bathing.

About 1 cup of oatmeal

About 100 ml of almond oil
-
About 100 gms of sea salt
-
About 100 gms of honey
-
About 100 gms of rice powder
-
You need about 10 drops of juniper
oil
-
About 10 drops of peppermint oil
Make sure you mix all the ingredients
very well and then store it in an air tight jar. You can use a loofah and scrub
it daily on your feet. It will not only help you to dislodge dirt and grime but
it will also help to soften dead skin and start to make the skin smoother and
crack free.
3. You can oil your feet at night: You can oil your feet at night with a mixture of the following:

About 2 tsp of castor oil

About 2 tsp of olive oil
-
About 2 tsp of almond oil
You can massage these oils on your
feet (make sure it is done at night). You can smear Vaseline into the cracks of
your feet and see that it is absorbed into them very well. You have to melt a
candle in a saucepan on a gentle flame. You have to use a flat brush and
carefully apply it to the skin. Make sure you let it cool and dry. You can wear
a cotton socks and cover, and then leave it overnight.

Using Lime and Sugar: Start by
dipping the lemon halves into the sugar and then scrub it on the heels on a daily
basis until all the granules have melted into the skin. Make sure you let it
dry and then wash it off with water and pat dry.
5. Try home pedicure: A lot of people don’t actually know that a home pedicure will also work miracle for cracked heels. You can get yourself with the following:

You need 2 large towels

You need nail brush

You need Pumice stone

You need Loofah
-
You need nail file
-
You need Buffer
-
You need Sponge
-
You need Essential oil of ylang ylang
about 5drops

You need warm soapy water
-
You need about 500ml full fat warm
milk

You need about 20ml olive oil
-
You need nourishing cream
You have to file your nails and then soak
your feet into a tub of warm water and milk and then add the essential oil
along with the olive oil. Make sure you brush your nails and clean them very well.
You have to use the pumice stone to scrub the heels until they are soft and
smooth. Use the sponge to apply the nourishing tub water to the legs up to the
knees and on the top and soles of the feet.
