On this article we are going to look
at some of the natural remedies for tooth infection that you can use to control
the pain and also stop the infection from getting worse or spreading while you
wait for the infection to die off. These particular remedies may not work for
every person but if you’re in pain from an infected tooth, these remedies can
bring you some relief.
1.
Rinsing your mouth with saltwater: If
you want to lessen the pains from tooth infection or you want to stop the
spread of the infection you can rinse your mouth with a warm saltwater
solution. This will help to kill off some of the bacteria in your mouth and
irrigate your mouth. It will also help to rinse some of the debris out of your
mouth and if you have an abscess it can help break up the pus surrounding the
tooth in your mouth. To make a basic saltwater rinse you can use regular table
salt and warm tap water. All you need to do is to add about ½ a teaspoon of
salt to a small cup of warm water and then stir it well. Make sure you rinse
your mouth with it for a couple of minutes swishing the solution thoroughly
around your mouth and then spit it out.
2.
Using baking soda: Baking soda has antibacterial
properties. If you can use a solution of baking soda and warm water to rinse
your mouth it will help reduce the amount of plaque in your mouth and also help
relieve pain.
3.
Using essential oils: For centuries essential
oils have been used for their medicinal properties. These essential oils are actually
made from plants that are distilled with water or steam or cold pressed to
extract the oil from the plant leaves and stems. If you want to use essential
oils to alleviate pain and to promote healing make sure you always keep the
essential oils in a cool place away from things like spices or food. You can put
a couple of drops of the essential oil on a cotton ball or cotton swab and then
use it to apply the oil to your tooth. If you want to use essential oils make
sure that you are using the pure medicinal grade essential oils.
4.
Using herbal teas: Another time-tested
home remedy for many different ailments is herbal teas. You can easily make
your own herbal teas at home by buying the leaves and stems of different herbs
and then put them in hot water to make the tea. To make it more effective you
can buy medicinal grade teas that are already made. The high quality
therapeutic grade teas actually contain a higher quality of herb and a stronger
concentration and they are likely more effective. If the teeth in your mouth are
sensitive to heat because of the infection you can brew the tea, let it steep
for up to fifteen minutes depending on
how string you want it to be, and then let it cool in a room temperature
before you drink the tea. Fenugreek is one of the popular teas that can help
alleviate the symptoms of tooth infection. Another tea for tooth infection is
Goldenseal tea. Actually Goldenseal is an herb that is related to Turmeric and
it also has many of the same anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties
that Turmeric has. A study has shown that it has natural antibacterial and
antibiotic properties for a tooth infection. You can drink up to 3 cups a day
to help knock out the tooth infection.
5.

told hydrogen peroxide is something almost everybody has in their medicine kit
or first aid cabinet. Hydrogen peroxide has many household and first aid uses, although
hydrogen peroxide is best known for preventing infections in cuts and for being
an effective mouthwash. Hydrogen peroxide is one of the best remedies for an

for tooth infection that is easy to find and inexpensive to buy is garlic. Although
a lot of people don’t actually like the smell of garlic but the healing effects
of garlic might make the smell worth it. Fresh raw garlic has a compound called
Allicin that has significant pain relief and antibacterial properties that can
